MAC Panel was recently approached with a request for a SCOUT Direct Access Kit (DAK) that could be connected to the NI PXI-254x line of Multiplexer and SPDT Relay Switches. Our newly developed DAK solutions for the PXI-254x line provide short-run SMA connectivity between the instrumentation and the SCOUT interface. COM ports are brought out to external SMAs on the top rail of the DAK for easy access.
Utilizing a custom built DAK for applications such as this can significantly reduce test system wiring requirements while providing excellent measurement integrity.

In our newest Direct Access Kit for PXI, we have worked with National Instruments to duplicate the electrical elements of the NI PXIe-4353 32 channel, 24-bit thermocouple module directly onto a PCB within the DAK form factor. This DAK PCB solution carries the thermistors for the 8 cold-junction compensation channels improving the accuracy of the measurement by using a reference junction.
